PROJECT HOME RUN

Here is a fly-through of what our future home will look like!

Project Home Run is a culmination of a prophetic word to our church to be a “Light on a Hill”, and the realisation of a God-given dream to have a sanctuary of our own. We’ve set up every week for 21 years, volunteers have braved the cold, the rain and the early mornings, faithfully honouring God in setting up our Sunday worship service. We’ve paid rent to many different organisations, and we’ve hoped for a place to settle. When we move in to 38 Lexton Road, Box Hill North as our permanent church building, not only will we be blessed, but it is our hope that the community around us will be blessed through us.

In many ways, the challenge ahead of us as a church is not new. The Israelites had the same challenge when they entered the Promised Land, and we face it every week when we live our lives as a Household of FAITH.

Here’s what we need to do

We need to relentlessly pursue God’s will, His cover and direction. Then, we need to courageously and boldly act on it.

It is no small task ahead, and we will not reach it if we are not willing to step out in Faith. As a follower of Christ and a member of the household of FAITH, we ask you to diligently seek God, and follow His lead courageously.

On the 16th of October we have a churchwide prayer meeting to commit the decision to the Lord, and on the 25th of October, it’s our big Decision Sunday. We’re hoping to reach $1M in raised funds by then, but more importantly, we’re hoping to have received clarity on how we should best proceed for this next phase in God’s plan for FGA Melbourne.

It’s an exciting time! We can be the generation that causes our church to inherit the promise that God has given us. A place that for generations to come will hear of God’s greatness and glory.

“Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land I swore to their fathers to give them.” (Joshua 1:6, ESV)
