Sunday Service in person

Our Sunday Services are going back to meeting in person! As we have moved to the 2 square meter rule for venue capacity, many more of us can meet together in person. We are running English and Mandarin services concurrently.

This page will help you as navigate our Services Sundays, so whether you're bringing the whole family, inviting friends or coming by yourself, you'll know exactly what to do.

1. PICK

Due to further easing of restrictions, we can meet in two locations for IN PERSON Church (giving us a total of 400 slots for members of the public). 


1. LEXTON - 320 spots (including children)


Address: 38 Lexton Road, Box Hill North. 

FGA Kids will be running a full kids program for kids in Kinder-Grade 6! Note, there will be no kids program for kids under 2 years old but we will set up a play area. 


Worship and media teams will also be running from Lexton, so volunteers who are serving will need to select volunteer tickets.


2. NOVOTEL GLEN WAVERLEY - 120 spots


Address: 285 Springvale Rd, Glen Waverley (Go to the Function Centre on the ground floor).

Parking at the council carpark nearby or free parking at the multilevel carpark on Bongong Street.

This location caters for those who live around the Glen Waverley region. Please note there will be no kids program running.


2. BOOK

After you have chosen a location for yourself, your family and your friends ... you need to make a BOOKING. This will give you a ticket for entry. It will also help us manage our venue limits under the new regulations.


Everyone who will be attending will need their own ticket (with their own name on it) for contact tracing purposes.  Babies under 12 months don't need to register for a ticket. Here are some things that you will need to know about the booking process:


1. Booking for the following Sunday will be open at 10AM the Sunday before (Click HERE to book now).


2. Each person needs ONE TICKET, and Real Names must be used when filling out individual ticket details. You are able to book multiple tickets at once (and share email addresses), however, you must type in individual names on each ticket. This is a requirement of our COVID Safe process to ensure that we know exactly who is on premises on Sunday.


3. Once all tickets are sold out, a waitlist ticket option will be made available through the Eventbrite booking system.


4. Please CANCEL your ticket if you know you cannot make it. We are expecting to be at capacity at some of our key locations, so please don't take up a spot with a ticket you won't use. Cancelling your ticket can be done either by emailing Ruth Lara (ruth.lara@fgam.org.au) or via the Eventbrite website (click the View and manage your order online link in the Ticket Email). 


4. Volunteers will need to select the special "VOLUNTEER" ticket to ensure that they have a guaranteed place on the site


5. If you have any problems booking a ticket, please reach out to your Home Group or Ministry leader for help. Booking online is a relatively simple process and does not require you to create an account or to provide bank details. Alternatively, you can email ruth.lara@fgam.org.au and we will be happy to assist you. 

3. SHOW

Now that you've Picked a Location and Booked a Ticket, all you need to do is to Show up at the venue!


Here's what you need to know about arriving at one of our church locations on Sunday.


1. CHECK THAT YOU'RE OK TO MEET UP


Please stay at home if:

You have any symptoms of cold, flu, fever, chills, shortness of breath, or loss of sense of taste or smell.

You have been in contact (close or incidental) with a known case of COVID-19in the past 14 days.

You are in self-isolation or quarantine due to:

  • diagnosis of coronavirus (COVID-19) without a subsequent negative test
  • you waiting for a COVID-19 test result,
  • close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 or
  • Government directions/instructions to stay at home/self-isolate.


2. COME EARLY AND CHECK IN (9:30 AM)


Things aren't going to be the same when you show up for our In Person services. Each week, we're using new volunteers and we have quite a robust COVID-Safe check in process to ensure your safety. Please plan to be at church early, allowing time for parking, registration and prayer. 


When you arrive at your location the usher will check you in digitally to register your presence at the meeting. This may take a while if everyone arrives at the same time. 


In addition, when attending an FGAM event, please:

  • Maintain 1.5 metres physical distance between yourself and people you do not live with, 
  • Wearing a mask can be mandatory indoors, check the latest restrictions advisory here.
  • Practice good hand hygiene.
  • Stay home if they feel unwell.
  • Do not share food or drinks.
