Building God’s House

Welcome to the FGA Melbourne Church Building Program also known as “Building God’s House” or BGH for short. For many years, our church rented various premises as our congregation size and needs grew. Then by God’s grace we were able to buy an old factory site at 38 Lexton Rd, Box Hill North in 2010. We first developed the front section of 38 Lexton to house our church office and a number of meeting rooms. Since early 2012 we have enjoyed the blessing of these facilities and rented out the empty factory space behind.

Developing the front portion was Phase 1 of BGH and in August 2015, we initiated Phase 2, also known as Project “Home Run”. Upon completion in October 2018, Home Run delivered us a sanctuary where we hold our Sunday worship services, as well as additional multi-functional rooms and great breakout areas.

We have grown substantially the few years since we moved in and there are a number of ways we can improve our property for greater functionality incluiding a roof over our rootop carpark.

Our church leadership recognise that since we have moved into our own building, we have been accommodating an expanding congregation and continued involvement in community programs. We also have realised that the space and facilities could be put to even better use as well as be further improved. Currently, we have a wonderful opportunity to upgrade our premises by increasing our meeting rooms space and building a roof over the rooftop carpark to create a covered outdoor meeting and sports area.

To date, many have sacrificed considerably to serve, give and play a part in making this our home and many have been blessed. We now encourage everyone to play their part in the critical upgrade of Building God’s House by earnestly praying to seek the Lord’s cover and direction as we sacrifice equally and give what we are able so that we can serve the Lord well, together, as a Household of FAITH.
