Hope for the Middle East
Islamic extremist ideology influences society across the Middle East. Christians are targeted by violent religious groups, often facing threats, physical abuse, or kidnapping. Properties owned by Christians who fled the violence have been illegally seized by organised criminal groups, politicians, and religious leaders– making it difficult for Christians to rebuild when they return.Pastor Abdallah is one of our local partners who runs a Centre of Hope out of his church to support the Christian community. He said, “The families are perplexed and confused about their future. They are without jobs; their houses are destroyed or damaged. There are so many challenges in people’s lives.”
By supporting this project, you will help those who have chosen to remain in their homeland to follow Jesus, despite the difficulties they are facing. You’ll be coming alongside local churches to strengthen the presence of the gospel across the region, and help the Church remain, especially in areas torn apart by war.Pastor Abdallah said, “Our Lord is offering a better life for people. I believe that we should be the same way as our Lord Jesus Christ, offering a better life for people spiritually, but also practically. “As a Church we want to stand next to the people and help them. We want to see a better future for Aleppo and Syria.”

Compassion - Sponsor A Child
Every child is special, uniquely made by God. Poverty looks different, but the goal for each child stays the same: good health, good skills, good relationships—and the opportunity to hear the Good News.
Choose the child you’d like to connect with and become their sponsor. Each week, they’ll attend a program centre run by the local church to learn, grow, play and develop in a loving, safe community.
Get to know your sponsored child through letter writing. It’s quick and easy to write online—and letters have a powerful effect. If a face-to-face friendship is more your thing, travel with Compassion to visit in person!
Your support gives a child life-changing opportunity to develop spiritually, socio-emotionally, physically and economically. It’s a relationship more powerful than poverty—changing their life and yours!
